Have had two of these for about a year now in the humid south. Both run great but can be a bit loud when it's on. High and low settings don't make a huge difference. It'll pull about 500W when it's running full tilt

I did a bunch of research and went with this - https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-50.../329441045

Different price point... not sure if it's a slick deal.

Loving it so far. Finally cleaned out the old one and it was lighter carrying it back down the stairs. Now I've got two and I'm glad I went with known brands (no comment about Hisense)...

Hisense has good customer service. Mine died after a year, then they sent me a refurbished one, that died half a year. Then they issued me a refund. I can't recommend this product. My dad took them apart and he said they put a cheap pump. Also the refrigerant is not common, so it would cost 2x the actual product to refill it, assuming you can repair the leak.

In the manual, under care and cleaning (page 15), looks like you can connect a hose for "Gravity draining".

Yes you can attach a garden hose. I set up a hose so that it drains into a condensate pump, since I don't have a floor drain anywhere. But a floor drain is ideal if you can swing it.

I have my Hisense from 2 years ago and it still runs fine (continuously for 6 months per year) The pump eventually failed so I just use a garden hose that drains into the floor. Otherwise it's fine, especially at this price point.

mine worked for 3 years. For the last year or so it barely collects any water.
I still have receipt but no box for it. I guess can try to return lol. Unlike big applicances , small once are not under that 6 or 3 month limits.
