It does stick out about a foot and a half, I didn't realize how wide the base is on the one I have, but then again, that's what makes it sturdy.

Got one to try and grow strawberries in next year. Never had a lot of success with them in my raised beds. Thanks for sharing!

how does this compare to all the random nobrands on amazon? seems like there are many amazon listings for 4-tier for $30-40

I can only vouch for this one as being pretty heavy duty since I have the taller version of it. Not sure about the quality of those.
