I bought both this last year. IMO the S90 is superior in every way, other than the lack of DV. Which is more or less irrelevant with models at this level, if you properly configure your display and major streamers are streaming in HDR10P now. But streaming services are horrible at HDR including DV, the differences may only be seen with DV formatted physical media but that's subjective. I'm not a Samsung fan whatsoever but they're doing a really good job with their QD-OLEDs, I own several now.

Going by your first hand experience, I'm glad I picked up the S90D. Colors POP and game mode keeps its brightness unlike LG C4

Not sure how easy returns are through woot though and panel lottery is unfortunately a thing on a lot of tvs. Best Buy has always been really easy with online returns.Does woot actually sell things new vs. being possibly open boxes?

Cheaper at w00t as noted. Also concerned about the 20% or whatever power supply failure. Might wait for a sale on the S90F instead (as I need to replace my 10+ year old Sony XBR-65X810C

The C4 will likely last you much longer, because these TVs are very well known for having terrible quality control (which is why they go on sale so often, and for cheaper than LG), but the color on this is better. However, if you're watching it in a bright room, this is worse. QD-OLED has raised black levels (where the black looks grey) when any amount of ambient light hits the screen. That's just a problem with that display tech. So, it's definitely a TV for a dark room. Regular OLED will keep that inky black whether the room is bright or dark, but it doesn't have the color volume of this.

HDR game mode keeps its brightness on the C4. Just not if you're playing in SDR. Since most games have HDR support now, it's not usually an issue. Not to mention that you can set the console to have HDR always on, granted that's fake HDR that kind of washes out the picture. Colors still pop plenty on the C4, too. They're just not quite as vivid. I'd take the C4 any day, because Samsungs are so unreliable, and in a bright room, QD-OLED looks awful, because of the raised blacks. I'd rather have an all-around TV.

From a performance standpoint, this TV generally is better or at least equal to the C4.
While there are some reported issues (generally anecdotal) concerning reliability, one spec to be noted is that the s90d uses around 2x as much peak power vs the LG c4, which means more heat. And we know electronics (and the adhesives used) generally do not like heat.
Under normal use, it's probably fine. But if you're a heavy TV user and have it on many hours a day, maybe think twice about energy efficiency on the LG.
