Amazon's sales listing page is also somewhat deceptively ambiguous as to what this book is.

This is basically a long editorial essay, with some cover reproductions and artwork.

It is not a comic book trade paperback or compilation. It is not a collection of Marvel's greatest hits.

If it were then the ~$10 price is, without a doubt, an awesome outstanding deal.


Yes, I am a Marvel fan and many of the comic books featured inside were read by me when I was younger.

I am not against reading opinion, but many of us SDers would be more interested in a trade paperback deal.

Volume 1 of a million TPBs for super Prime cheap would make sense. Digital and print (could go even cheaper for digital).

Then make the next few volumes be cheap but not as super cheap as the 1st one.

This is a great journey through Marvel comics history with interesting insight from various writers. It's a fantastic book. I highly recommend it.

Apparently I picked up the kindle version for $1.99 during prime days of '22. Who knew. Might want to check your digital library first.
