Lodge cast iron is great, what isn't is cleaning a grill pan. These are best for hanging on a wall, as you will soon find out that these will take more time cleaning than cooking. I have one, its a decoration now.

You clearly don't know how to clean cast iron? Use oil and either boil it out with water or run it through oven when it's really bad on clean cycle and it's like brand new. Not difficult at all, never had any problems with my grill pans or griddle/grill

Sounds like fun... The design of this ribbed pan is more trouble than it's worth. A regular skillet would be better.
