I saw this in my local Costco this morning. It is not listed at this price online (link is just for reference), so I'm assuming that this will be location specific.

I will add that when I use the link to Costco's website, the website that shows the 899.99 shipped price indicates that my local warehouse is out of stock, but when I go to the Same Day portion of Costco's website, my warehouse shows the monitor is available for $512.97. There were three available when I went into my warehouse this morning, while the linked website indicated out of stock. Just FYI!

Is VA much worse than IPS? Does anyone use this type of monitor for office work instead of gaming?

Nothing nearby, but I'd pick this up in a second if it was available.

it's gonna have worse viewing angles and possibly ghosting by comparison. that said, curved IPS monitors usually demand a bit of a premium over curved VA, and are a bit more rare in this super ultra wide formats. 500 is a great price for this monitor if you can find it for so.

These days, it depends on the panel. It used to be that all VA panels were considered "worse" when it came to color reproduction, but that hasn't been true for a few years now.
It shouldn't be too hard to identify this panel – it's literally a Samsung monitor – so I'd research that.

Whatever you do, NEVER GET A VA PANEL!!! If you are a gamer, they are horrendous due to ghosting and their color reproduction is horrible. I mistakenly bought one when it was on sale and I immediately returned it after just a few minutes of playing games. It was that bad!!! When shopping for a new monitor, IPS (preferably nano-IPS) as minimum and OLED if you want to splurge.
I'm doing office work, not gaming but thanks for the info.

Saw this today. 2 left in stock. Didn't get one since I already have one and I'm more into high resolution monitors recently.
