Also before anyone asks, yes these can be used to extend your current subscription. I just did it.
After purchase you will get emailed a code. Log into your account, click on activate with code on the top. Eventually it would take you to a page asking you to add your payment information for auto renewals. After this page (I skipped it) the next page will ask you if you want to add to your current subscription or set up a new one.
I'm now subbed until 2029 🙂

Thanks for the heads up. Already have four years of subscription. Was about to buy two more but saw your warning. Searched for the max subscription and you are correct. Saved me buying!
