If you don't have any bumpers at all I'd snag these up. Even though they're low weight they'll protect your floors and give you the height on the bar. Then you can just add your metal weights onto the bar.

Agreed.

Although if you really wanna jump on this deal for the best value, one option would be to add these bumper plates to your cart, then add a gift card ($22 balance) in order to exceed the $35 minimum for free delivery.

Then you at least have a $22 gift card balance to use for groceries or something you might have needed to buy anyways. I do recommend avoiding the e-gift cards and just opt for a traditional, physical gift card. I've had so much trouble with Walmart employees not understanding how to apply e-gift cards, or having to mess around with apps, that I will never buy another e-gift card from Walmart.

These are the worlds thinest bumpers. If you use a 45lb bar you will end up taco'ing them. If you add metal 45s, its like these dont even exist according to the floor.

These guys are meant for aluminum training bars, or to add weight to a set that has bumpers on the bar already.

And as an owner of these, the stories are true, the hole is juuuuuust big enough to fit perfectly on an olympic bar, there is no slack. They will not go on generic bars like capp.

Although it is a good price, I think 10 lbs bumpers are too weak to do what you're suggesting. There's not enough meat on the bone for them to support much more weight than the bar. IMO 25 lbs bumpers are the minimum where additional metal weight can be comfortably added. I wouldn't recommend adding more than about 5 lbs plates on a single pair of 10 lbs bumpers.

Agreed because I bought the 15lbs set of these last time they were on sale, and one day I was doing light pendlay rows (185lbs on the bar) and after one hard set where I let the bar drop fast on the negative, they immediately bent and now it's a PITA to get them on the bar so I barely use them anymore and never use them on a lift starting from the ground anymore

Just received mine today. Arrived in perfect condition and double boxed. Cleaned them with SimpleGreen and airing them out now to get rid of the smell.
