I have a pair and love them and will get a second, but I hate that they only last about 8 months before the fabric in the slip-in heal wears through

Exactly. Love them and they are comfortable but the heel wearing out negates the whole purpose of slipins. One of my pairs wore and ended up chewing up the back of my heel. Had to throw them out. Sketchers is pretty good about honoring warranty though so keep that in mind.

I usually wear size 8M in Nikes but had to size down to 7.5 and wides for these cause the M size felt so tight.
