It's a good deal, but sadly, this device is a downgrade from Google TV with Chromecast because it doesn't have audio pass through, which means this device will be processing audio using its crap chip instead of our external sound systems handling audio format, such as Dolby and DTS.

Seconded. Had one and tried many ways to get it to work properly with no success. I'm not an AV wizard but pretty capable and could not get it to consistently trigger video output via ARC. I would have to unplug it and plug it back in each time to get it to output with maybe 50/50 success. Plugged my old chrome cast in and worked like a charm. Sticking with that for now.

I don't see a coupon to clip so I'm getting the $76 price. Any tips?
Edit: you only see the $53 price at checkout. Got it now.

The 4k Plus has a newer CPU that's about 3x faster so it's more future-proof. Also cheaper. I'd go with that unless you absolutely have to have the smart speaker voice assistant on the Pro.

If you have around $200 to spare, go with Nvidia Shield. They are older devices but are super capable, with amazing processor. Nvidia still supports them with updates and they would beat any other Google TV/Android device hands down.

The ONN devices have massive issues with Dolby Vision. I Switched to the Google TV streamer and have had no issues with audio through arc. Plus the Google streamer is much faster than the ONN pro.

I just ordered the Onn pro yesterday. Gonna get this one too and test this theory.

I picked up two at this price and now they seem to be out of stock.
