For anyone who may also be in the Kobalt 80V ecosystem, Greenworks and Kobalt and owned by the same parent company (like many major tool brands). Their batteries/tools are designed with molds to only fit their own branded items BUT if you look at YouTube, you will find quick tutorials of how to trim the plastic of the batteries to be accepted by both brands. I have a lot of Kobalt 80V tools and got one of these blowers when my Kobalt 80V blower decided to only blow at 50% capacity for no reason at all. I easily made the Greenworks battery fit all of my Kobalt 80V tools.

Heads up. This is the weakest of the three that I've noticed they offer. The upper level they've offered, for about three or so years, is 800 CFM, https://www.greenworkstools.com/c...er-renewed

They also have several in 700-770 CFM range, I have one rated at 730 CFM. Wet leaves on rained on grass were the only thing mine doesn't like, and if I move slowly with shallow steps, those can be blown around as well. It's the matter that if wet leaves are your biggest or most frustrating issue, watch for the 800 CFM blowers. For 90% of what I do, the middle rated one works. You really need to monitor the battery, these will damage a battery faster than any other tool they have. Simply answer, if it gets hot take it out to cool, and either replace it or go get some cold beverage to keep your internal motor running.

Is this worth getting just for the battery itself?

You do not want this one. Wait for the 800 CFM or the on in the 700s. Greenworks recently had the 800 with 4ah for 135 (it was refurb though).

No this is not worth it at the price for the battery alone. If you want to pay $140 for a 2.5ah battery hit me up.

I was being sarcastic = /s. Those descriptions from these companies are always overestimated

FWIW, I got what appeared to be used tool. Then it was replaced by another used tool. Finally, returned it for refund. This happened during last sale.
