Every bit of your response is verifiably incorrect; your response is to create further division and adds nothing of value.

Geez. This makes me really miss the pre-pandemic price of $29 one way between the two. I guess those days are gone.

The BIGDEAL code was select times and mostly super early or late. It seems like these prices are better for busier times. At least for me.

Aye. Getting very tired of prices continuing to creep up.

Agreed. Oil prices are through the roof thanks to geopolitics, wars, and tariffs to name a few. Fuel is the most expensive line item on the books for airlines so there's that. In the end, we're the ones holding the bag.

Welcome to the new Southwest, ugh.

But tbh a flight that costs less than just the gas to drive is still arguably a good value (at least for 1-2 people).

Not exactly true. A barrel of oil is in the $60s right now. A year ago, it was in the $80s. And in 2022, it peaked over $110. So we're nearly half of the post-pandemic peak.

Create division? Didn't see that coming.

Those statements are factual. If you're interested in opening up your perspective rather than assuming ill intent, I've provided sources to back it up. (I'm not into shit posting and my post history here on SD backs it up.)

Here's some context for what it's worth.

Did you know that airlines make less than $20 profit in best case scenario (recently $5) per ticket. Their OpEx is extremely high.

Source: https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-...yURL_share

Sit in on airlines quarterly earning calls (or read their earnings reports) and you'll hear/see that fuel price is their largest expense.

Geopolitics, wars, and tarriffs absolutely affect the price of oil

Here are a couple of articles to back up my claim:

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/0...ticleShare

And finally about holding the bag is about us having to bear the brunt due to things outside our control.

I fail to see how that's devisive. I'd love to see your rebuttal if you have one.

PS: My sources include liberal and conservative news and official government links, so in other words a centered view, before political accusations arise next.

100 dollars to fly in state in 2025 is crazy.
