Why would I choose when I can just buy both?
I don't have brand loyalty. I run 5 days and wear 5 different shoes. All purchased at 60-75% off.
When DSW stopped carrying them and put them on clearance I got three pair of Rides for $75.
I got 6 for $25 each a couple of years ago. I'm still going through them. One of them is still in box
Different use cases. Speeds are for your fast PR days. The bostons i use for my longer runs.
