Does Home Depot do price ajustments?

267 112 January 27, 2006 at 11:42 AM
Does anyone know if Home Depot does price adjustments? I bought a snowblower last week and now it is $100 cheaper at the same store. Anyone know if they'll refund me the $100? Is it at the store manager's discretion?

I've done it in the past without any problems at all. Just bring in the receipt, and make sure you can prove to them the current lower price.

I have done this many times and never had a problem. I worked on a project for a few months that had me at Home Depot/Lowes almost daily.

In the rare event that the person seems hostile I just innocently say "oh, I called the 800 number and the woman there said it wouldn't be a problem as long as I had kept my receipt. I just had to come in in person." That always works a treat.

If not, return and repurchase all at once!

Shouldnt be a problem at any store. I watch prices on-line as well and call to request refunds when ever I see a price drop. Amazon.com has a pretty good no-hassle policy. I agree with TheWendysGuy... If they show any resistance, ask for the manager, then return and repurchase all at once!
