Walmart Lifetime Tire Balance $7.50 per tire + FREE Rotation YMMV

This works for all places that balance tires, i.e. Sears, Midas, etc...YMMV

Walmart Tire Center [walmart.com]

I know it says $1.50 per tire to rotate but if you ask for a BALANCE FIRST, which they have to take off the tires anyhow, they can put it back on anyway you want, i.e. free rotation. You just have to ask for the Balance first.

Balancing and rotating go hand in hand most times. It makes your tires last longer and promotes even wear.

LIFETIME Balance means lifetime of tire that you bought or your lifetime...I don't know but I'm going to assume it's your lifetime.

Buyer Beware: here are some links of complaints of Walmart [ripoffreport.com]

On a side note: www.ripoffreport.com [ripoffreport.com]is a good/ fun place to see people's complaints and stuff

You would think - but usually, if you don't want to pay for the rotation, they will just put the tires back on in the same locations. They usually won't do a free rotation - at least Walmart, Sears, and NTB won't, in my experience.

However, the $7.50 lifetime balance usually includes rotation

'Lifetime' in this case, usually refers to the lifetime of the equipment (tire) and not YOUR actual lifetime... just an FYI

Boy you can say that again... I have had my oil changed at the same place for YEARS, I moved and to keep from driving so far, I decided to try the walmart garage. Well, it took 2 trips before they screwed up my car. No, I didn't say the oil change, they actually broke a piece that holds the oil filter on because when they couldn't pull it off with their hands they took a crowbar to the thing!!!! Mad To make matters worse, they didn't tell me they had broke the piece, nor did they even try to put a new piece on (it was a $0.25 piece for @#%@% sake!!!!)! The next time I went to my normal place and they pulled it up and said "WTF, where did you take this thing to" and showed me where the guys at walmart, instead of replacing a $0.25 piece of metal, decided to GLUE the piece together with some 'industrial' glue and let me ride around for a couple thousand miles with my oil filter/plug just on the verge of popping off and draining all my oil. AGAIN, this is all for a $0.25 piece!!! Mad I have since boycotted walmart, both for my groceries, material goods, and especially for any automobile work. I find that by spending an extra couple dollars at a reputable place could be the difference between the life and death of you and/or your car is worth it.

I do not trust any of those "QUICK" auto service places to do anything. They have to read a manual in order to find out how to change their mind. I know to many people who have been screwed by them including myself, ONCE! Cost me $575 to fix their express service. My car was undrivable for a week.

had my battery replaced there, they broke the metal tie down bar that secures the battery into the car. If I didn't check the job afterwards they were ready to blame corrosion and natural circumstance. They offered to give me bungee cords to hold it down. Somehow I dont think bungee cords are going to hold a 40 lb battery in place when I slam on the brakes at 65mph to avoid a deer. Idiots I tell you. I took it to a repair shop had it fixed and demanded they pay for it and they did.

I am with everyone else on here. I shop at Wal-Mart alot. I will NEVER buy tires from them or Sam's Club again. We bought four tires for my ex-husbands truck. We paid for the "lifetime" balance. What a joke. They tried 6 times to get the tires to balance--no luck. We tookt the truck to the dealership and discovered that the tire causing the problem was actually defective, there was no way to balance it. The dealership then nicely contacted GoodYear for us and got us new tires. When we took the invoice/statement from the dealership back to the Sam's Club we had purchased the tires at, they said it was not their fault. 8 months of horsin' around with them and NO ONE noticed that the tire was thicker on one side than the other---HELLO????? The training there has to be just awful.

Never again. You get a lifetime of balancing that will never work:-)

If you have Sam's membership, they charge $16 for 4 tires balance and rotation if you didn't buy the tire from them. IF your tires was purchased and install at Sam's, it's always free.

This is why I like to buy service based things from places that know about the service. It's ok to buy manufactured goods from Costco or BJs or Sams (I'm a BJs man myself), but services? Hell no. If I need an oil change, I'll go to a gas station or a repair shop, someplace that has people that know what their doing. I stay the hell away from those car washes, the Mexicans that work there aren't qualified to do anything but wash my windows. When I need tires, it's off to Mavis for me. I even avoid Sears if it's not for something simple like Batteries (they do have good battery service). That's just me I guess, some people will always try to save every last penny. But penny wise is often pound foolish.
