Where can I find Office Depot receipt?

I need to send a receipt in for my rebate, but all I can find from the Office Depot site is an order detail. I'm not sure that will fly considering another long thread in this forum. I was going to send the packing receipt too.

Am I missing something (can you find a better receipt on their site)?

You can call them on the phone and ask them for a printed invoice. They can fax it or mail it to you.

Some of the reps only know how to generate order confirmations. An order confirmation is not the same as an invoice. So, be persistant and let them know you need the invoice.

Does the invoice work the same as the receipt? I received a invoice instead of a receipt. Can I just use it? Thx .

Yes, I called the rebate center about a month ago about a rebate I sent for an item purchased online. They said the invoice is the same as a receipt. But to cover all my bases, I also sent a print out of the email I received after purchasing the item online, a printout of my order summary, along with the invoice and packing slip. All proving I purchased the item. What do I see when I check the status online...."receipt not included." I was pissed as HELL!!!! Called the rebate center to complain, and everyone said to resend everything which takes another 8 weeks of processing. Called corporate, and got in touch with someone who nicely took care of it and "pushed" the rebate through for me, so no errors. Screw their system and procedures. I made copies of everything, and find it odd that someone who processed my rebate missed all that. Went off on a supervisor, who gave me the address to the Office Depot president, hahahahaha, he'll be hearing about this.

The last 2 rebates to OD have both been invalidated as "Your submission did not include a receipt." On the first, a purchase of XP Home on 9-10-06, I sent the Order Details page in with the submission. Got postcard. Sent in again. NO CHANGE IN STATUS.

In the meantime, I ordered an Acer laptop 11-25-06, with a $250 rebate. I stapled the order details page to the rebate. No UPC required. Same bull. Your submission did not include a receipt.

Called about 6 times on both rebates in the last week. Last call last night was finally told that the computer scanning the pages does not recognize the Order Details page as a receipt. I asked what else I am supposed to submit. For an online order, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. Both rebates are finally now valid. I have been waiting since Sept for $70 on Win XP Home Upgrade. BTW, I am going to make $17 on the deal, because I had a $30 gift card I used. I just figured they were unhappy with me because of that. I have worked VERY hard now for that $17.

THIS IS BULL. I now ALWAYS staple all my rebate pages together just because of this situation. In the future, I will not resubmit without escalating to a manager.
I now know to ask if they got the Order Detail page.

THIS IS THEIR CRAPPY COMPUTER SYSTEM. WHAT KIND OF IDIOT PROGRAMS a scanning system that does not recognize THE COMPANIES ONLY FORM OF WEB PURCHASE DOCUMENTATION?

I work for OD. If you bought it in, like, the last month, they have the receipt stored locally (ask for a manager). If not, they'll give you a phone number to call where you can get your receipt sent to you. You'll need to know the date of purchase, amount, register number (ask them which is which to identify it), and if purchased on plastic, the card number can speed it up.

Thanks everyone for the help and/or humor. I'm sure it'll be fun trying to get my 15 dollar rebate. Good way to get/keep customers...
