Yeah, he printed out three pages of exercises designed to stretch out the muscle, instead.

I eat pretty healthy and get plenty of exercise. I take my vitamins like my boss tells me to. My immune system is pretty good, but that's not the point. They shouldn't be coming in sick when they can stay home and work from their company provided laptop. They have the choice to endanger others or not. They are also given a week of sick time every year that they can take so they don't have to work.

And it's not me I'm worried about; it's my kids. I don't want my kids getting sick because I carried something home from work that I otherwise wouldn't have if these sick dicks worked from home.
They need to build up their immune systems too, since they're almost always at home and not exposed to a bunch of school age kids...

Granted, I agree that if you're only kinda sick and can work from home then you should do so. I just know that if I just have the sniffles and coughs and can move around, I have tons to do that can't be done on a computer, so I come in. If I'm dying, I stay home and sleep...nothing gets done...it's a wasted day on being sick...I'm lucky if I feed myself.

That's dumb...did he give a better reason why he'd rather you on pain killers instead of a muscle relaxant? Is there some medical benefit for being on one of the meds than the other?

Because I would think that pain killers plus stretches would make you push yourself too far because you wouldn't be able to tell when it is too far...where-as the muscle relaxants would help you stretch but you'd still feel something if you were pushing too far...

He says it will "just go away" in another two or three weeks, after "it's run it's course".
Which is probably true, but it will be uncomfortable and make it more difficult for me to work over those two or three weeks. I have to go back in tomorrow morning for a fasting blood draw (cholesterol monitoring). I may just ask for the muscle relaxants, then. Or wait another week, and then ask for them.

That sucks! I mean he's right, but I'd rather something that would help me be productive than just kinda kill the pain a bit...

I think my boss had something similar with his back...he spent so much time at his computer standing...he'd put boxes under his computer and key board to put them at his height. I felt bad for him!

As long as you're not having hour long make-out sessions with lots of grinding, then I don't think it's necessary to Define The Relationship (DTR). If you're just talking and hanging out and playing games and whatnot, I think it's fine not to have the DTR talk, because at this point you're just building friendships that may or may not turn into a stronger relationship.

Every strong relationship needs a good base in friendship, which is what you should be building while dating. I'm still friends with all of my ex's because there was a friendship there first that has not gone away despite the breakup.

Phrozt is actually the shortest friendship before make out sessions, but we talked for a looong time and really got to know each other first.

I think if they want to discuss it then it's fine and just be honest and define what's been going on and your views on it. If they flip out that you were "cheating" on them, then they're not people you really want to be with in the long term anyway because jealousy is going to get in the way of logic.

I think you're letting TG1 get to you too much. Do what you think is best for you with honesty and things will fall into place for you. If you're nervous in the gut because you feel you're being deceiving, then tell them how you're feeling. If you feel happy and confident that you are going about this the best way for you, then don't worry about it.

Now the above is NOT advice I would give a douchey guy, because they don't give a flying fark about someone else's feelings. You sound like you care but are also staying strong in your independent beliefs on relationships (and not just trying to score). I think it would be a good thing for you to find someone who isn't bothered by the non-exclusiveness until discussions have been had. If you both have similar morals on relationships, then your relationship will be stronger.

That you'll find out once discussions are had, obviously, but I don't think you need to force yourself faster than you deem necessary.
Thank you. Good advice and much appreciated.

Iagree

They haven't brought up monogamy to him either. God whatever happened to DATING?
Is he supposed to email and gchat with a girl, have a couple dates, and suddenly be engaged? Wtf that only happens in crazy land.

I applaud you for your restraint, VQ. Don't let crazy get in your head!
Right before I headed out of my last client's office she IM'd me "I'm sorry for being difficult, don't be mad at me!" WTF? Crazy

It's just not for me, that's all.

They're interesting, but I don't like having things between my toes, so I've taken a pass on them.

How about hour long make-out sessions without grinding? Scratchchin
Wait, are those a thing, even?
They could be a thing. nod

I know this dance anyway: no matter what she puts in front of me I'm eating it, smiling big with wide eyes & saying "this is amazing!"
Quote from vviles :
Obvioulsy everyone has different expectations when dating. If any of these gals want to take a strong stance on being committed - it's up to them to bring it up when they feel its reasonable if he hasn't.
Good point. I'm acting like it's all up to me... Scratchchin

You do realize what happens when you say something like this in front of a bunch of perverts, right?

I'm pretty sure if my dog did what one of the questions asked, it would mean he wanted to go outside, which is what I said. But noooo. When he wants to play, he brings me his toy.
