If you have a goat, how do you manage it? [No OT Pls]

Well the seems I had (my first) night with a goat about a week ago. Big goat, after it ended she was inflamed, swollen and hurt like hell. Actually, she went from OK to not being able to walk over the course of a day, took her to urgent care the next day (and got meds), and she has been getting better every day since. That was last Tuesday and today (week later) she is 95% "better". .

First it was K&Y, followed by a daily application of Astrolube. She had a followup with her vet today, he concurred with the goat and gave me the standard list of stuff to avoid hurting her (not that I really eat any of that stuff anyway). Vet said the inflammation level was "mildly high" but seemed more concerned if it was red.

I'd really like to avoid another episode (although the next time around I will have had the K&Y and Astrolube on hand already).

So does anyone else here have a suffering goat?

yeah...if he does it right, the goat should be sufficiently lubricated without KY or Astrolube.
