Cliff notes:
I didn't post before going to the doctor yesterday and to the ER this morning
I have Cellulitis, hopefully I will not be all dieded anytime soon
DO NOT do an image search for Cellulitis!
The primary gave me a shot yesterday, which helped with the swelling in my arm but the first dose of the pills gave me a nasty set of muscle cramps, twas not a fun night!
So this morning when I woke the swelling had progressed well beyond the original marked area and was hot as a firecracker. So that earned me a trip to the ER for an IV antibiotic and two oral antibiotics. The swelling is down some now but is still well beyond the original marked area.

Had a setback last night, was getting into bed and tried to reach behind me with my bad arm to pull that side of the pillow towards me as it was out of place, felt something give in my arm and had terrible pain that shot out from the arm and I hurt all over. Poor DH, he was already asleep and my screaming woke him up.
After that I lost some of the motion I'd regained and I can't pick up anything with that hand. The swelling is better but there's still a big goose egg sized, rock hard lump in my upper arm, just above the elbow.

So this afternoon, with my hand looking like a giant sausage, I made an appointment for the doctor. Didn't have time to post before going for round two of 'Guess My Bacteria!'
Now I have two different prescriptions and a future trip to an Infectious Disease Specialist. I think that last part is overkill, I suspect the crud never completely left my system, the knot I could feel even after I felt 100% probably kept the bacteria alive in my system all this time and it finally took hold again after the antibiotics were out of my system.
Oh and I have to take photos each day, so have uploaded a pic you might not want to see, so I posted it as a thumbnail.

I'm hoping to get some reduction in the swelling by Sunday but it may be Monday. They didn't do a strong shot this time, just pills. I wish now they had done both, he seemed in a big hurry to finish, but they did squeeze me in.
