FREE Giftcard

Hello to fellow SD'ers!

Here goes my rather strange thing Iam put up with , I received two HomeDepot giftcards very recently (from wgiftcard.com) which did not look like a phishing attack one. Opened it, and guess what? It was indeed a valid HD giftcards in it ($50 each). Called the company wgiftcard.com, coinstar, and homedepot where each of them is passing me around to other to get answers with no closure yet.

While I would love to use free stuff, don't want to use up something which is not from a confirmed legit source. Just trying to be little nice if someone had sent something by mistake (which doesn't look either)

The GC's email are indeed addressed to me (by name), and also has senders name (no I don't recognize it. No email/phone of the sender) and now wondering what are my options?

Appreciate ideas on this from fellow SD'ers.

EEK!

Sounds like what happened to me a while back, I received an email that $50 was to my Starbucks card from a random person. Apparently my account was hacked and they added it with a random person's stolen card info. I still don't know why they'd do that. The card was deactivated.

Testing cards, usually. Get creds/card, try and verify it on a purchase elsewhere to see if it's legit... Then immediately use for larger ticket item.
