This is my first time posting a deal, so take it easy on me guys.

I was looking for a reliable treadmill and came across this on Costco.com. This is most likely online and member only deal.

Online Price $1,199.99
Discount: $300.00
---------------------------------
Your Price: $899.99

I am thinking this is a good deal as Proform 2000 is one of the highest rated treadmill. And specification looks good. I am not sure if paying by Costco Citi card will give additional warranty or not. May be somebody can provide details on that.

What do you guys think?

i will never get why people buy treadmill for the house, 8 out of 10 it's just sitting there collecting dust.

$900 can get you 2-4 years gym membership with access to 100+ equipments.

Meh, save your money and buy a Woodway curve. Virtually maintenance free, motorless, and should last you until humans go extinct.

So has Slickdeals been infected with AI bots with poor grammar? I keep seeing posts like this pop up in many threads. I can't imagine Costco paying a referral fee, so SD might want to work on its algorithms.

I am not sure what do you mean by this?!

Here's a few reasons: working out around others suck, waiting for cardio equipment sucks, smelling some Indian dude that hasn't bathed in a year sweating it out across the hall is disgusting, smelling people that spray way too much perfume/Cologne is migraine inducing, seeing people you don't want to see, time constraints, among many other reason.

Although I agree, 75% I know have a treadmill sitting around like it's a piece of decorative furniture.

I certainly would have avoided stereotyping any community. I am sure you are a nice person and you didn't do that intentionally.

I finally bit the bullet and bought one. This one looks like it'll be really effective in making me ashamed that I don't work out, and I like the large deck for storing boxes of other unused items.

sweating is sweet n smells for sure, why did you call out one particular community, slick deal is forum for all and mostly enjoyed by immigrants, not for such hatred.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one. I've been running outdoors and have done a few 5Ks. Now that 'winter is coming', I am looking forward to putting this thing in the garage (heated) and keeping up my running through the winter months. I just couldn't bring myself to pick up a used one since the ones around here are priced just a bit lower than the new deal. Fingers crossed I maintain my discipline!

Is this the 2016 or 2015 model? I read somewhere that resellers cannot sell below urlhasbeenblocked.com price.

Can you verify that they sent you the current year model? It seems too good to be true. If it is the current model I am buying it myself. Can't beat Costco return policy so maybe I should just order it and return it if its a 2015 model..

What's the diff between the 15 and 2016? Pictures at proform.com look identical to the Costco pics.

I don't know exactly I just brought it up because someone bought a new one at Sears recently only to find out it was a 2015. I think some of the electronics were upgraded in 2016.
