Don't feel bad. Every one that I ever tried yielded the same error code. So either someone is generating codes and using them or there is something wrong with there system.

E-mail addresses that do not match up between the Scott site and Amazon does not matter whatsoever, based on my personal experience (I used several codes without issues).
