Sears Craftsman mowers are made by American Yard Products Electrolux which is the same company that make Husqvarna. Other than a few cosmetic and feature variations, they are basically the same.

S240 has small tires and a 42" cutting deck. The 48" and larger tires for my rough terrain is what appealed to me. I'll give the D160 2 years to see if going to an X350 would be any beneficial.
