You're just lucky. I have more than 10 lines. Freedompop always randomly add international plan, premium voice call, voice mail to some of my lines.

i have over 10 FreedomPop devices on 1 bluebird card and no problems. if you don't trigger a top up you won't be charged. very simple

Yes this has always been the case. You don't need the FP Messaging application if you have Premium Voice. Just note that you do need the application to make texts with the FP Number.
