I believe Garmin sell maps only...at least that was the case when I used mine in India 4-5 years back....I don't use Garmin anymore as my unit is extremely slow and the advances shown by Google, Here...

you may have to buy maps from mapmyindia . and i am not even sure if this is compatible with mapmyindia maps . the best bet is to buy sygic India maps and install on some old phone
