Back in sale for $8. I got me a few rolls. I am going to bi wire them, effectively making 15ga. Longer lasting safer, and muc more legal than speaker wire.

Yes on the speaker wire. But not likely code. But as it's for cheap lights, who really cares if the home inspector makes you rip it out... Also, most speaker wire is Cu Al mix, while garden...

typically 18awg copper wire has 0.6ohms per 100 ft, so 2A gives you 1.2V drop, led lights will work

I don't think most speaker wire can be buried. There are probably some very expensive ones that can be buried. I'd just buy landscape wire and bury it.

Oh give me a break. This is low voltage wire. They aren't trying to wire a new outlet at the breaker or anything. This is outdoor lighting anyway. At worst, they overload it and their shitty little...
