I ordered the refurb Playbar from Sonos. It's packaged and refurbished as if it were brand new. There's no signs of it being refurbished. Very happy with the purchase.

I've got a Play 5 and a Playbar that I managed to buy for quite a bargain, but even the cost on these is pretty close to dealer pricing. If you can accept refub'd, it's quite a package

Look. If you want to get a Play 3, get it. Some of us try to get decent sound while maximizing bang for the buck. It's subjective. I have a house full of Sonos, just no Play 3.

But this is Slickdeals and we're not paying regular price. So for $229 vs $400, I would say this Play 3 is worth it. Unless you see a deal for 2 Play 1s for under $300 somewhere?

Maybe people are referring to the relative value. 2 x play 1 in stereo cost about the same but sound better than a single play 3. Maybe.

I would have to say I agree with others as well. I've never owned a play 5, but the Play 1 sounds noticeably better than the Play 3.
