You're right. Back when I got my setup, the price of the infinite stone was north of 30 bucks. What made me get the pizza stone is when I read some reviews and they stated that the Akorn stone...

I agree I think it's main placino as far as how it affects cooking - but the stone is way more durable. My pizza pans have gone useless pretty quickly. Even covering in foil.
