I got the same deal last BF. It worked great for about 4 months then the latch started to act up. I believe it was due to the wearing on the door latch making bad contact from the plastic parts....

Well if the heating cool is up above them the food is not sitting in it now is it. Are you saying a deep fryer doesn't use a heating coil somewhere within the unit?

In Cali. My Tier 1 rate (lowest) is 19c/kWh. However my marginal cost is typically 39c in Tier 3. (averages to about 25c). So this costs me 60c/hr to run. Way better than $5 but I dream of 16c/kWh.
