Buy a light bulb socket to power cord adapter and wire these to your garage door opener. Then you can turn it on from inside and they will turn on when you open the garage.

They do have adapters you can plug into the light socket on your garage door opener and plug this light into that adapter.
Also, outlets usually have a notch you can cut to have one of two outlets...

Isn't there a pull chain to turn it on and off? Just wire it directly and pull the chain (once for yes light and twice for no light)

I dont care to link these.There is a power outlet but it is always hot. Its on the ceiling and that is what the garage door opener is plugged into , so there is no switch, and I wouldn't even know...

you cannot link these, but you can cut off the plug and hardwire them in to your house, but I think you mean you have power outlets right? An easy way for you may be to shut power off, add a switch...

Went back for a few more today, was told every store on Long Island is sold out. I guess that's the end of those. Now they have $39.99 4' weather resistant shop lights with motion sensors. Oh well

I have one of the Feit replacement florescent bulb setups (just bulbs in the existing fixture). It blinks off for 15 minutes or so every hour. I guess it gets too hot, although it doesn't feel it...
