Sweet, been waiting for a deal on this lens to come back up. Was ready to buy used, but people want more than this for a used one... Had a $100 Adorama gift card, so you can't beat $48!

great price for a decent lens. thumbs up! Although, I'd recommend getting the Olympus 25mm f/1.8 instead. It is considerably smaller and lighter, and imo better all-around lens for street...

The ring/hood is a similar design to the 42.5 1.7, which I also own. Panasonic includes hood sword all their lenses which is a nice bonus. This seems like a solid lens, and maybe I'll give a try...

To your collection it's still act very different from your lenses, I would say it's a good investment for only $150. just got the lens, I think Panasonic is really good on quality. this is the first...

Really solid price. If I didn't already have the 15mm and 12-35mm I'd be all over it.

Thanks. I'll stick with current 12-32mm for now!

It'll work fine indoors. f/1.7 is sufficiently fast to use indoors without flash, and still get quality pictures, and this lens is plenty sharp, I use it for such purposes. With the caveat that...

25mm is a 50mm equiv. Fine for street shooting, but bad for landscape and nature photography
Post #103059564 added 08-01-2017 9:30 AM by SDU-Tango in Hot Deals
I don't recommend using a 50mm only. Most problem for beginner usually lens is too narrow to fit subject in frame, so I think the 12-32mm (=24-64mm) is better to go around with. It's more compact as...

Can I replace 12-32mm with this one? I got a recent combo deal so it comes with both 12-32mm and 14-55mm lenses. I prefer to use single lens set up because I am newbie. Any thoughts?

Definitely different to your zoom lens and this one can shoot in low light without flash. You will need to move around to fit object in frame though as it's very narrow. And for it's price, you can't...

Great lens. I bought it the last time it was on sale, and I use it very often. You can't compare it to Sony/Zeiss lenses because they don't work on m43 bodies. M43 lenses are cheaper due to the fact...

Did you get Panasonic GX85 with lens kit for $299 from Amazon? I placed 2 orders. Amazon cancelled and gave me 2 x $20 = $40.

I owned this lens and it was noticeably softer than the Olympus 25/1.8 and the Panasonic 25/1.4. Normally even cheap modern normal primes become very sharp across the frame when stopped down, but...

Brand name, but to my experience, the more expensive lens do have quality that is hard to see, sure slightly more detail doesn't worth the extra money I would say, another factor could be focus speed...

You can oftentimes find it on eBay new for this price. I paid something like $130 best offer in the winter. This lens is extremely sharp and bright. Makes you wonder why the Sony and Zeiss prime lens...
