No, M.2 uses an M.2 slot, and 2.5" SSD uses a SATA connector- They are not interchangeable.

This is not a ram. Basically SSD has two versions, 2.5'' SSD and m.2 SSD. As long as they use SATA, these two versions have NO difference in terms of speed, and they both are limited by the fastest...

Apple uses a proprietary connector for their SSDs. It looks like M.2, but it's not. The only alternate choice I know of for Macbook-compatible SSDs is OWC.
