For the benefit of those who purchased this camera, it is possible to update the firmware to Hikvision v5.4.5. The following is the text of my post from IP Cam Talk on October 10.
For anyone...

I only have one 410 and I picked it up on a SD on amazon. So, maybe it is defective? I mean, the QC is not great in that the lens is not even in the center of the camera - laying on the bottom...

Thanks for the info.
Set it up this weekend and compared it to my ARLO Q. The daytime images/video seems better on the Arlo Q. Nighttime shots are way better on this Annke. I don't know how...

Using a Guest Network would not protect your home network. :shake: Typically, using a VPN, you'd use a browser on a desktop computer running the VPN client. I believe Android phones can also use a...

Would setting up the camera on a Guest Network protect your home network?
If setting up a VPN to view your cams, does that mean you are using a browser to view your cameras or a phone app?

Why do you hate the Reolinks? I've got their 410s and 422s I think. The night vision quality could be improved but otherwise I've been happy with them. I find them to be better than my Amcrest camera.

As user Mike A points out, apparently not yet. The OEM ID flashed into these cameras won't allow it. I can tell you that Hikvision firmware version 5.4.5 does not have the vulnerability. Hopefully...

Nope. I'm very vocal about Reolink's lack/failure to follow video standards, specifically where their I-frame handling is concerned. Their shortcoming introduces video glitches in Blue Iris...

No. Not easily for now at least. Hikvision implements a check of language and OEM ID as one of the first steps in the firmware upgrade process and it will balk at that point. Likely that can be...
