It doesn't know which files you are going to frequently use, it knows which files you have used frequently. Those files get copied to the SSD.

My main concern with sshd and ps4 was with Seagate Firecuda...has a horrible crash rate...and I've always liked WD... But this drive has little info and not many reviews for ps4 usage.

SSD Hybrid is a scam. The biggest benefit of SSD is that it doesn't have mechanical parts prone to failure. That being said, these 'hybrid' drives are just as prone to failure as old-school hard...

Or people need both for things like game storage. Benchmarks don't lie, frequently played games on SSHDs load almost as fast as SATA 3 SSDs (though I haven't seen benchmarks on this specific drive)....
