I installed a 4200 in a crosstrek. You'll need a harness for steering wheel controls. Most factory cameras don't work with aftermarket. Mine didn't have one, but it easy enough to put one in for $20.

No bypass needed on the higher NEX units. Just ground and hold bottom left corner in standby.

That's curious about the Aux because the 8200 has an aux input, right? Why not run an appropriate cable from the 8200 Aux port to the Aux port in your car? Wouldn't that work? And, yes, you can...

Not sure what you mean by "bridged" above. Your current USB is connected to something, most likely your stock head unit. When you remove the stock head unit, you'll see the other end of the USB. ...

I wouldn't assume your car's existing USB input would still work unless you've already confirmed that through a vehicle forum or other source. My '08 Acura TL had an oem aux input, but the wiring...

Does the Subaru existing steering wheel controls (volume/phone features/BT/radio control) and the back up camera will work with the 8200? Not very knowledgeable in the car audio/video realm.
