How is it not required? I don't see it on my normal AMEX Offers at the moment (although that's not to say it won't show up there in the coming days).
BTW once added via Twitter, you will see it...

If you buy a 50 dollar gift card at one point and then go in for dinner and spend at least 100, then you should receive the 20 bucks, correct?

Not the best offer for Amex/Seasons 52 but at least buying a gift card can be used at other Darden brands including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze or Yard House.

T&C specifically states: "Valid in-restaurant only. Not valid on online purchases."
