Theres no point in using solder, when you could just twist two wires together in this application. Heat shrink works great, but only if its not time consuming. Wire nuts would be the best option.

If you're doing that just buy some tiny wire nuts, solder and heat shrink is the proper way.

whatever dude, doesn't take a genius to figure out you can connect a 4-pin to either side of the splitter to have true PWM whereas as 4-3 only allows PWM when connected to the 4-pin - nothing to do...

guess it depends on your definition, and 3-4 split is a PWM cable w/a slave unit not a true splitter, you just need a pulse on the tach in any event

They should make the before rebate price $20 so it would be an even "better" deal. This cable is 4" long. A 11" cable can be had everyday from ebay for .82
