Any suggestions on similar units with a TOSLINK? My receiver doesn't have HDMI.

there are Chinese egpu connectors (cheap but lots of reviews so know what your are gettkng yourself into) that go through pcie slots, which may work too, but would be ugly.

Thanks! This looks like a good option.I want to move away from the realtek NICs and this current box costed me just as much as this new box would cost me.

To anyone who bought this. Was it the NUC7i3BNK when you picked it up? The webpage lists both NUC7i3BNK and NUC7i3BNH, but the picture is of the thinner K version.

I wish these things came with duo (intel) NICs. Been looking for a good pfSense box, as my current box NICs are giving issues (realtek for you) or if anyone else has any ideas for a nice box, I am...

Glad to see someone like FrugalGamer nailed it in regards to the Apples-to-Oranges comparisons going on here. This NUC isn't the same thing as the Deskmini; comparing them to each other really isn't...

I still say a refurbished Lenovo ThinkCenter Tiny with i3 (7th Gen), 8GB DDR4, 500GB HDD, and Win 10 for $307 is a better deal even though it is refurbished. I think the Lenovo is actually smaller...

It really depends on your use case. Personally, I like that the NUC is a low-power device with a fan that is barely audible (when it is even running). In fact, the i3 model might be passively...

Ditto. Deskmini with the "full" version cpu typically runs twice as fast the NUC with everything else is equal.

Nope. It's CPU + motherboard + case + power supply in a super-small form factor. You can tack on a 250GB M.2 Samsung SSD for $117 (or ADATA's 128GB one for about $60) and a single 4GB SODIMM for as...
