This has also been my experience. Reliability and life span is far more important to me than differences in performance per dollar that I will rarely, if ever notice.

Those mobos aren't scheduled for release till 2018. I wouldn't buy any of these, I did manage to scoop up someone's cancelled order for an 8700k though.

Not true. Intel's 14nm++ is still better than any others' "10nm", not to say Intel's 10nm, which has double transistor density as competitors' 10nm. AMD's zen has about 94% efficiency per clock cycle...

i prefer Intel looks like that Coffee Lake i5 is the sweet spot $190 versus $380 for the top dog. Ryzen is unproven and why settle for 2nd best. Intel has never done me wrong. Yes it costs more....
