True. These are more like 8/5. Same issues (the vertical lines and the sparkles) were complains among many home usage owners. They had very large badge of bad LCD panels.

Not so much... they quit making TVs and sold their name to Hisense a couple years ago. Things went downhill in a big way. So much that Sharp sued them for shoveling out dogcrap TVs under their name....
