I think I have a tougher beard. I pretty much need to shave with feather blades (some of the sharpest in the industry).
I found derby blades to be pretty dull for me. But YMMV.

People are overstating the difficulty. It takes a little learning but as long as you recognize when the blade is too dull and needs to be changed, you'll be fine after a few shaves.
