It is likely a misprint these firecuda drives run @ 6gb/s. Which is 5400rpm. Even the 3.5", it's just misprinted on Amazon. People buy these drives for the 128mb cache which is supposed to store...

After doing some more research, I decided to go with the 3.5 - it's on sale as well 10% off - $89.99. I went with it mainly because the 2.5 runs at 5400 rpm while the 3.5 runs at the standard 7200...

I believe it’s primarily only the size difference. There might be some difference in connectors, and you would need a bracket if you want to install it to the desktop. After all, why not buy a 3.5 if...
