I'm no expert here, but I don't see why not use the wash as shampoo. Maybe shampoo is formulated to be extra gentle on eyes? For a young child with little hair, I believe this will work just fine...

and why is this a slick? saving me all of 19 cents. Target has it for 4.29 regular price and you can get 5% as well if you have their card. Now if it were $2 then that' be different

Looks like this has a strong scent from the 1/2 star reviews. I'm trying to stay away from scented products, so I guess I'm out (same w/Dreft. Smelled it....gifted it to a friend who has a baby)
