You have to wet the suction cup and then immediately put it on let it set and you should be good to go. Yes occasionally it will fall that's why I say occasionally. I'm with the volunteer rescue...

Use just a bit of wax like Burts bees lip balm. It does work as I've done it before with my nav unit. The wax increases the surface area of the suction cup to the window and thus seals it.

No, simply place your magnet sticker on the outside of your case. If you buy a sick neodymium magnet sticker, you can put it inside your case due to their 1 to 3T strength.
