Got mine yesterday and am pleased with it so far. Always wanted to try a Surface Pro, but could never justify the cost of a new one, and like others have mentioned, buying a used one is risky since...

I used this extensively for grad school (as a paper note book substitute for recording experimental data) but would not recommend it for day to day use. At best the battery life was 4 hrs (with low...

I️ received mine today. Got duped, it’s going back. It’s thrashed, it’s thick, it’s heavy, and it finally turned on after 4 hours charging. I️ thought this was a Surface PRO, but my fault for not...

Any idea of the condition? Refurb is usually either like new or used with signs of wear.

Check benchmarks. 3rd gen is still good. Alot of people brainwashed by intel for years because they had no competition. 2nd gen to 8th gen had minimal increase. Seriously look up benchmarks.

Definitely be wary of the battery. I have an SP2 + Power Cover that has battery, only lasts 2 hours unplugged. It was bought brand new.

Surface Pro 1 (i5-3XXX), Surface Pro 2 (I5-4XXX) and even Surface Pro 3 (I5-4XXX) have never had anything close to 12 hour battery. The best you could get from new SP1 was in 4-5 hours range under...

It's hard to say what the battery life will be. Initially, these guys rocked a 12 hour battery (I took a flight from Honolulu to Seattle and watched videos the entire ride, landed and still had about...

Well, I would say that the school usage maybe the only practical purpose for such old device. This is very sturdy and would survive teens and their handling. I bought it for my son a couple years ago...

It’s actually pretty easy to build one with a raspberry pi, just weird and bulky looking

What is your take on battery life? I was told by a guy at my local Microsoft Store today that the battery is (a) non-replaceable and (b) shouldn't be relied on to last much given the age and # of...

Maybe a bad assumption, but from my understanding, those are part of the Surface Pro, not accessories.

I got the same thing and specs in mint condition for $80 on Craigslist last month. Performs great and definitely thicker and heavier than my SP3 but gets the job done.

I got a refurb in 2015 with 128Gb drive and keyboard for $200, so I'd say this deal isn't so slick.
