I have the 2763 model, it has 1100ft/lbs in reverse (to break rusted stuff free) and 700 ft/lbs in forward to fasten.

I usually wait till the first forecasted storm in December or so, then pull them back off in March. I live in MD, typically less snow than PA.

When it comes to snow tires, do people just switch to them during the winter season, like Nov-Feb? Or more like before and after a snowstorm? Never used them myself and I would say here in PA we get...

I looked to up a few Milwaukee fuel 1/2" impact and even the $400 "high torque" is rated to 700ft/lb of torque. Which model do you have that's putting out 1100ft/lb?

I have one and I love it. I swap over 5 cars worth of snow tires twice a year and it does all of them without any issue. And without seeming to effect the battery charge. I did notice going to the...

Same here, I sold it and got the Milwaukee Fuel model, and it's night and day different (325 ft-lbs vs 1100 on the Milwaukee).

I should have specified. I was using "you" in the general sense. I seldom deal with a garage because I do my own stuff. The only time someone else messes with the lug nuts is when I get new tires....

I agree the xwt08 is a bit steep on price, and now I have an aircat pneumatic gun so two reasons I haven't bought it yet. Happy this gun works for you, just saying of all the Makita tools I own,...

Just about any reputable shop torques your lug nuts to spec. I am an auto tech and in the late 90s I believe they came out with torque sticks which you put on your impact gun and it tightens the nuts...

I'd like the brushless too, but not for $225-250. I've had my older one for almost 6 years now i think and no problems. For the casual homeowner changing snows and rotating tires on a few cars, this...

I have the brushless version.. It is more powerful, and the screws on it lock into the metal, unlike this version where the screws lock into the plastic on the case (see picture).. Given the...

I had one of these, wasn't very impressed. It's not variable speed, wouldn't take the lug nuts off my Triton. Sold it when we moved. The new(ish) brushless version looks much nicer, perhaps Santa...

This thing kicks ass, but nut busting torque isn't too great. If your lugs were put on properly with a torque wrench, this will take them off with ease. If the shop wailed on them with an air...
