The Mavic Pro Platinum didn't upgrade the Mavic Pro camera... it's a slightly bigger capacity battery, redesigned props and (I'd assume) motors. The differences are slightly longer flight-times...

All depends on Priorities. Both are great and direct competitors with unique abilites that the other lacks. I went with Mavic because I do this for fun and it all easily fits in a small lunch bag.

If video quality is priority phantom 4 is what you want, if portability is more priority go mavic. I got the reburished P3S and I can't tell a difference from brand new

If you travel and like to easily carry your drone, go for the mavic. If you do not care about portability and would like to have a better camera, then P4. I have a P3S and it is a pain to travel...
