Don't feel bad. Did the exact same thing with company expected in less than an hour. I now use a drywall dust bag inside the wet/dry vac for ashes. Just make sure the ashes are cold!

Just mentioning that KMart has the fine dust and HEPA filters and 7-foot hose extensions for this. 50% back in points. When I bought them yesterday there were bonuses that made it another 30% back...
