Just affix the seat with the seat belt. LATCH is easier, especially to get it tight. It's a bit harder with the seat belt, but you basically run it through the rear of the seat, then pull the seat...

Never realized seats are that heavy, but it makes sense. Looks like boosters are about 10lbs, seats are 20lbs+. I see now, thanks. Now, it's a confusion. With 55lbs kids, I am not sure what to...

In a rule that became effective in February 2014, NHTSA advises parents not to use the lower anchors of LATCH if the combined weight of the child and the car seat is 65 pounds or more, according to...

No, not this at all. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but people keep misinterpreting and spreading misinformation about the purpose of the Latch System on a booster seat as a safety mechanism for the...

If I am not mistaken, Diono RXT converts to Booster mode, so you shouldn't need to buy this booster. We have 4 carseats (2 in each of our cars). One set is Diono RXT and that converts to Booster mode...

For this seat the latch is only used to keep the seat in place as the other posted noted. Especially important as these seats can become projectiles in an accident. However, people can always...

I would assume the latch is being used for just holding the seat in place. There isn't seat belts on this booster, so the kid can't be buckled without it.

Funny, that's exactly what I'm trying to get my daughter out of. She's 46 lbs and TALL so the Diono headrest sits on her shoulders. Latch equiped booster? In for 2!

This. Latch should not be used after a certain weight. My son is 3yr, 35lbs and I use the seatbelt even though the car seat has a latch belt.

He’s tall too. He’s 49 inches at 5-1/2years. He’s kind of a clumsy oaf tbh. I hope he gets his proprioception figured out. He was breast fed and extra chubby as a baby, but he’s slimming out lately.
