Logically speaking, it should be better with Ois or at least no worse. If the ois itself caused any noticeable shifting in the phones center of gravity, the two components could 'fight' each other...

AFAIK, there is no way to truly turn off OIS on iPhones, not even with the FilmicPro app. People have used magnets to lock the OIS though.

I use the Smooth Q with my S8+. You have to position it correctly but it works great.
